Ord! Finally the day has come. Actually it was yesterday that i ord-ed. Went back to camp yesterday and collected my precious PINKIE IC! Wah, finally reunited with it already. Miss my IC so much. Time flies, 2 years just flew past me. What have i learnt and benefited in the past 2 years in the army? Let's see.. Learnt to be more independent, learned how to ride a motorbike, made lots of good friends, learned how to cope with major "cock-ups", maintain my body fitness and last but no least, gain leadership! Army don't sound so bad afterall huh? I believe it's essential for every guy to serve their term, but i feel that 2 years is pretty long. I think they can still deduct somemore till 1 3/4 year or 1 1/2 year. If not we guys will be always losing out to our female peers!Next up, let me update on my job! I can almost confirm that i've got myself a job! The company sent me for a pre-employment medical checkup and i went accordingly yesterday. As long as the result is positive, i am employed! I would like to thank my lecturer Mdm Tan for forwarding me the email for the job, and also Jaslyn from citadel search for promoting me to the company for the job! Thank so much! Work wil only start on 1st November 06, which means i have 1 more month. Thinking of finding a part time job as i am so broke already!Hmmm, i have changed my singnet plan to the new starhub maxonline plan. Damn, this switch of internet subscriber caused me so much problems and make me so stress and got me reprimanded by my mum twice. Long story and i not gonna say why. And please don't ask me about it, i will be too lazy to answer. LOLDid i mentioned in my last entry that i've book my TP test date? Opps, i think i mentioned before already huh?Btw went for my 1st circuit lesson today. I hate my main group instructor lah. The one who always teach me one. Hate him lah, always pass me 1 subject only, say i need more practice. But the fact is i can drive well, just that i just don't know why i just cannot perform under him. DAMN! Today i know i prefer those stern instructor who seldom talks and only gives me instructions. At least it's gonna get me prepared for the real test where the tester won't talk or joke with you too! Just now went downstairs for a short basketball game alone. Played with people on the court. Wah, i so long never go downstairs and play. The number of Philipino people who play basketball increased, even much more than the mainlanders! It was a tough game as we played 5 on 5. My team was all chinese and we played against the all Philipinos. Glad to say, we won all the matches and prove that Singaporeans can PLAY BASKETBALL!Btw i sucked in basketball, LOL.Okay, my fingers are getting tired from typing such a lonnngggg entry. It's a sunny afternoon, also a sunday afternoon. Not been blogging often recently, mainly because i am too lazy to do so. Not much special events to update on too. Will be going out to grandmother's house for dinner soon later. Heard from mum that most relatives will be going over today and it's sort of a mini gathering. That's why i will be going to show face ba, since i also damn long never seen them already. I need to change my singnet plan as soon as possible. I am paying $50+ for a 512mb speed! That's damn bo hua! Should be going down to singtel shop before i head to grandma house. Anyway on friday, i just passed my FINAL THEORY TEST. No mean feat, completed in 10 minutes also. Haha. First to leave the room yet again. =p And also i have booked for my TP test date. It's on 11th January 2007! God dammit, it's being scheduled till so long. I have booked for the 1445 time slot and the actual test will start on 1545. Hope during that period of time, the traffic will be very clear! Haha. And also to update on my job search. I am successful on the 1st interview with Ethylene Glycol Singapore Company. They will call me up tomorrow, which is monday, for more details on 2nd interview to go down to the plant itself. Wish me luck! If i am being chosen for the job, i will most probably get a bike to facilitate my transport to work in JI. Okay i am going out now. Be back to blog again soon!Ashton signed off

16th September, twelve more days, and counting, to my ORD!It's almost single digit to the day that i will finally get back my IC. I know it's quite boring for you readers out there to see that i always have to start with this topic. Well, i shall cut short on this topic then. Haha. So regarding the previous issue, let me update on my job search first. Firstly, it is the administative job. Due to the fact that i can only start work proper on 2nd of October earliest, i am not being informed of whether i am selected for the job or not yet. So after this i have actively been on a lookout for jobs, be it related or not related to my field of study. Days later i got an email from my lecturer. It's a email looking for Chemical Process Technician. I sent my resume straightaway and got a call that evening. Went for the interview at the CITADEL SEARCH. Went through the interview and i guess i pass it well. So now waiting for reply from them whether i will be selected for the panel interview by the actual company, Ethylene Glycol Singapore Ptd Ltd, also partly owned by Shell Singapore. Really hope to land this job as i am abit tired of going to any more interviews already! STRESS!Next, let me follow up on my driving trainings. Last subject i've passed till is U-turn. So far so good. Progressing on normal pace of learning. I've also passed the Basic Theory Test. It's so simple. Finished before 10 minutes and left the room. My Final Theory Test is on this coming friday. That one will be abit tougher i guess? Pass it then i will proceed to book my test date already!Then this is about so much to update for this entry. I am still living a happy life with my dearest dear. Wish the relationship with her will last long long and never end! Oh yah and we have been together and reached the 6 month mark already. Hi guys! Ashton is back in action to blog after 1 week. It's 7th September and it's 21 days away from getting back my pink IC! How i miss that primany 6 look on my IC. Wahaha. Do't think anyone can recognise me on that photo? I remember i had a big frame for my specs then. ORD always seems so far from me, but just in a moment of time, i am going to ORD already. Mixed feelings though. It's end of my army phase of life and i am stepping into a new phase of my life.
Just got a call and was told that i am chosen for the interview for the post of Administrative Assistant. But from what the caller says, though it's position is called "Administrative Assistant", i do much more things than just that, and will be working under a big boss. Does that means this is my career path already? Well, everything is undecided until the D-day tomorrow. Wait till i get past the interview then say. I can say that i've got no confident to being picked for the post, partly because i had no admin experience, and also my diploma is not related to the job too. But if i were to get in, i will definately put in my best and climb my way up!! Somehow i am inspired to work in a office environment, wearing smartly everyday for work, carrying a briefcase. Wahaha, can imagine already! Good luck to me for tomorrow then!
Tomorrow is really a day full of activities. I've got my Basic Theory Test in the morning at 9.15am. I've also booked a basic theory practice session before that, to make sure i pass, so i can apply a pdl to drive on the road!
Lastly, i would like to let my dear know that, she's really my top priority. Please stop thinking that you are not important to me. I really want to let you know you are important to me. Just that maybe sometimes our thinking might clash on certain issue, well you know what issue is it. But other than that, i want to let you know that, i am serious on you and really want to build a future together with you, only you. Hope you will be understanding when i cannot meet you or want to have time for myself and my friends. I know this obstacle have been bothering us from start till now, and it will still bother us from now till i don't know when, but still i will wait for the day when we ride over the obstacle together. That will be the day when both of us gain enlightenment! =p Let's stop being influenced by what our friends say and have our own unique set of thinking! Love you forever dear.
